A collective voice for access and equity in literacy education
About Us
The Alliance for Inclusive Literacy exists to ensure that everyone has access to meaningful, progressive literacy education — including access to text and print and active participation in the development of reading and writing skills. We believe that everyone, including those who are non-speaking or physically disabled, can and should be taught literacy through inclusive, evidence-informed approaches that enable each learner to make progress. We unite voices to raise expectations, transform practice, and lead change towards a more inclusive literacy landscape.

Connect With Us.
Whether you represent an organisation, or work as an educator, therapist, or researcher — if you share our belief that literacy is for everyone and have ideas, insights, or experiences to contribute — we invite you to connect with us and stay up to date with our work.
Together, we can strengthen the collective voice for inclusive literacy and build a system where every learner can access, engage with, and enjoy the written word.
