The Alliance for Inclusive Literacy brings together organisations, and individuals committed to advancing inclusive, equitable literacy practices.

There are two ways to be involved, depending on your context, capacity, and level of formal commitment.

Alliance Member Organisations

Alliance Member Organisations are organisations that formally commit to the Alliance for Inclusive Literacy’s mission, values, and Terms of Reference.

This membership route is for organisations able to take an active role in shaping the Alliance’s work, contributing expertise, and upholding shared principles around inclusive literacy.

Alliance Membership is open to organisations only (not individuals or individual schools) who are able to meet the Alliance’s governance and commitment requirements.

Alliance Member Organisations:

  • Formally commit to the Alliance’s mission and Terms of Reference

  • Contribute to shared learning, expertise, and good practice

  • Take part in strategic discussions and collective priorities

Help shape the future direction of the Alliance

Organisations wishing to become Alliance Members should review the Member Organisation Terms of Reference before completing the application form.

Alliance Community Membership

Community Membership offers a way to connect with the Alliance for Inclusive Literacy without the formal commitments required of Alliance Membership.

This option is open to individuals, schools, trusts, and organisations who share our mission and want to engage, learn, and collaborate around inclusive literacy.

Community Membership is designed as a supportive space for connection, reflection, and shared problem-solving.

Community Members receive:

  • Access to quarterly online community meetings

  • Participation in an online forum to connect, share practice, and seek resources

  • Opportunities to learn from Alliance Members and peers

  • Updates on Alliance activity, events, and emerging work

Community Membership does not involve governance responsibilities but members must review the Community Member Terms of Reference before completing the application form
