The Alliance for Inclusive Literacy has produced this document to support individuals and organisations responding to the Government SEND Reform Consultation. Drawing together concerns and recommendations from across the inclusive literacy community, it explores how literacy, communication access and high expectations can be meaningfully embedded throughout SEND reform. Particular attention is given to the experiences of non-speaking children, AAC users and pupils with complex communication and physical needs.
