Everybody Reads

Everybody Reads is a personalised reading platform for primary and secondary-age pupils. Students create their own interest-based stories, written to match their individual reading age and tracked automatically as they progress. It's built around the VIPERS comprehension framework and works across the full range of ability, including SEND students and reluctant readers.

As students read, the platform assesses comprehension in the background, giving teachers the data they need to guide next steps without extra marking.

Representation is at the core of the platform. Every child should be able to find themselves in what they're reading, at a level that actually matches where they are.

Being part of the Alliance means standing alongside others who understand that literacy isn't one size fits all. Every child deserves to see themselves in the books they read and to be met at their own level, not held back or left behind by a single fixed text. We're keen to learn from the wider network, share what we're finding through our work in schools, and support the push for genuinely inclusive reading provision across the sector.
